When it does I'm there!
You would have enjoyed it Curt, I heard some talk about doing it again which would be nice. Saw a lot of faces I have not seen in a while and met new faces also.

AND SOME OTHERS NOT IN THE PICTURE:

Matthew Blais(out of frame, grabbing a beer ?)
Hugo Zhang( "Mr. Chamonix"!!!)
and myself.
feel free to download the above picture and edit in your name in PS, and re-post
This was a lot of fun and it was good to seen so many faces to attache names to. Hiroko and I (standing up in the back) were both impressed with the variety and quality of displayed artwork !
Wish I could've joined you all today...working at The Book of Mormon, as per usual for these things...miss y'all!
I want to thank everyone who participated in the event. We had a nice turn out and met some new friends. It was great to exchange ideas, talk about what we do, sell items and generally have a great day. We will have another event like this next year. Many things to discuss and if you have some ideas send me a pm or an e-mail and let me know your thoughts. I'll follow up with everyone in a few days with some ideas for next year.
Tri, thanks for getting the venue together. It was a great spot. Thanks to everyone who brought some food. We had a lot! The weather was beautiful and I'm thinking throughout the day we had close to 100 or so come to visit. I'm sure there will be some more images posted here and elsewhere.
The equipment was nice to see. Full plate to 20x24 cameras, Polaroid demos in 8x10 and 4x5 PN55 and some did portraits. Some great discussions about lenses and some great glass from P&S, Dallmeyer, Darlot, Voigtlander. The for sale items we priced "to sell" and some of the sellers sold some great items. I was tempted but held off. I mean some sweet deals. Next year I would not be surprised to see more.
Everyone got to have some one on one time with the artists who had their work on display and ask about the processes they do. All in all a great event. Thanks everyone who came to support the large and ultra-large format community.
It was a very nice gathering with some old and new friends. Many thanks to Tri and Jim for putting this up and to everybody else who showed up with their food, cameras, prints and old lenses.
I exposed a few sheets of whole plate film with my 420mm Heliar lens and will post them here in a few weeks when they come out to light.
Hugo
