Apologies for the rant about uploading images, but once again, I can't figure out the

Okay, I'm sorry, but I just feel like ranting about two things on the site.

In the past, I've had to ask twice how to attach images now that the site has changed. I'm dumb enough to have not printed off a description the second time, so I can't remember the details, but I can get to the point of trying to attch an image to the new system and nothing happens. Help again please. (By the way, the old system was easy. Yet another gripe about why did you fix something that already worked????)

Secondly this is all because once again(!!!!!!!), I tried to search and found it yet again, absolutely useless just like so many others who have complained.

So, enough ranting, somebody please explain again to me how the new upload function is supposed to work.

Thanks,......and sorry for the venting.

??

Sorry, but are you asking how to post an image in a thread?

If so,

Use "" without quotes....

1. Click the Manage Attachments button below the reply window.
2. Click the Add Files button that shows in the Manage Attachments popup window.
3. Click the Select Files button
4. Select your image or images you want to upload.
5. Click the Upload Files button in the window. It should show the images you've selected.
6. Press the Insert Inline button on the Manage Attachments popup window.
7. Any questions about any of these steps, fire away.
8. Don't worry.

I don't believe the site has changed since I wrote this (it's a sticky):

Many thankjs for the replies and to Welly for the concise directions. I post often, but only add images now and again and the new method has added steps that I simply seem to have trouble remembering. And yes, I did print the directions this time.

If you want to use an image from a url and have it show up in the post as apposed to an attached thumbnail, here's how.

http://screencast.com/t/QRi5fPaVJdy

you can also just use html tags to denote it's an image.
Put [IMG] in front of the url
Put [/IMG] at the end of the url
So it would look like this (without the " marks)

""
