That's a great simple uncomplicated composition that it's nice. She appears relaxed and comfortable. The white cloth contrasts from the dark hair well. THe plainness of the cloth goes well with the plainness of the aero-ektar background.

I was just reading last night "Pictorial Lighting" by Mortensen, and he mentions that outdoor lighting tends to produce a more truthful/believable result than some lighting we setup, and I think this is a good example.

I've been trying more artificial lighting set-ups lately, but I still prefer natural light, either outside or near a window. I've seen amazing artificial lighting results from others, but it is not something I can use to my advantage quite yet. But give me some open shade and I'm happy.

I had to get her outside while it was still warm enough. Later in the week it is supposed to start raining here, so time to clean the gutters!

Yesterday, I made a visit to one of my favorite places, the Blue Ridge Parkway. The stop at Marby Mill this shot was made at the blacksmith of
the blacksmith. Everyone were very nice and it is a great place to visit.

thanks for the comments, i made her a fiber print of this for posing for me, of course she had no clue what i was talking about when i told her it was a fiber based print. I finally said "ok ill put it simple, if i ever get famous for what ever reason, it will be worth a shit load of money : ))
"WOW! Now thats a big camera. By the way, how many megapixels is that thing?"
