    Heavy Tripod for my 4x5

Am investing in a heavy tripod.

Anyone use the Manfrotto Super Professional Mk 2 ? Weighs a whopping 7 kilos.. Though I have always wanted a wooden tripod..

    Dan95,

If you want heavy wood tripod, look into the Australian made Miller tripods. I have one that I purchased used from a Hollywood surplus vendor. These tripods were designed for the film industry and can be found for a lower price than a Ries.
