Lovely, Ed! My only critical thought is that I like it better rotated 90 degrees counter-clockwise.

Thanks for the comments Gents.
Change the size so that all of the image fits on the screen without having to scroll down - very annoying.
It all fits on mine just fine.
This is really impossible, short of just making the image small enough to fit on the smallest monitor at the lowest resolution that you think anyone might use, then it will not look as good for others.
Try right clicking and selecting "view image" - in many browsers (all now?) this will display the image on a page to itself set to fill the window.
Its really nice. You changed the overall "color" of the image to much better tone, also. You know what I miss though is the look of paper. This would look so great with that subtle MCC 110 texture. I like the shape of the grouping. The background distracts to my eye but only a little.
Its inspiring. I want to make an image like that.
Thanks again folks for your comments. If the image size is a problem you can go to the image in flickr and select a smaller size.
I have printed it 12" square on gloss paper on my printer and it really does look superb, a friend who has a large format printer is going to print it as a 36" square image for me. I have just finished working on a 2400 dpi scan which gives me a 36" print size at 330 dpi, I am just hoping it holds up to the increase in size.
The first question for me is whether its well done not whether it has been done before or done to death as an idea. This one is well done. A bad crop because the idea is not new hardly contributes anything of substance to the image. If we exclude cliches from this forum we would end up with about 4 photographs in the "Image Sharing and Discussion" section.
Thanks,
Kirk
