If only it would be in Betax that can actually sync there is only so much that one can do with manual syncing (i.e sticking shutter at 1/5-1/2 and pressing trigger by hand)

I just don't think its lens alone that renders image. Its a whole combination of model that is able to take directions, lens, makeup, styling and light sources+modifiers. Best lens in the world can't help when model is PITA, makeup falls off in chunks and lights wouldn't produce consistent results and modifiers works no better then stuff you can put together from cardboard box and ripstop nylon by yourself

Well, it's seems to be working out ok for you.

well.. i have similar problem with Compound on me 240mm Heliar that i use on 4x5 - so i literally play this by ear.. But its very hard to do when ambient is high enough. But then again, it forces me to stop using flashes, which might be kinda good for me, as it forces me to rethink certain things. Or just to use Synced Wollensak in packard I am also going to try 16"/6 Dallmeyers Perfac soon, just waiting on new shutter to be made, and mounting to be figured (it doesn't have flange and sticks back quite a bit). If i am right it might be quite cool sharp-ish lens for full face portraits.

Incredible, Sergei. Not so much the lens (nice as it is) but your lighting and composition.

8))) Congratulations. And you got yourself very patient model (for a bit.. cherish it.. once they hit about 8 years old - you wont be able to put them in front of camera till they hit like 15-16 )).

Congratulations! I know a fellow local photographer who recently got into 8x10 to photograph his newborn as well!

Beautiful stuff Sergei, I have had my Radar for a few weeks but haven't found a suitable subject for it yet.
