i like the white flesh, it has a certain uniformity to it, as in a lot of arms differ from top to bottom, neck to face, but this girl is like a ghost! with big eyes like anima cartoon.

works well with blacks and whites, dots and texture.

Notice that the wife is smiling. This was before she realized that her husband's "cheap" camera from craigslist would need:

a much sturdier tripod for this 20 lb beast (Bogen 3068)
a much sturdier 3-way pan tilt head (Manfrotto 3039)
    a normal lens that covered 8x10 (Fujinon 300 5.6)
    a couple of filmholders
film (lford HP5+ (here), Portra 400)
    larger developing trays
    paper for contact printing (Lodima)

    Wife is no longer smiling....
nice photo no matter wife is smiling or not : )

These are a few shots I took in my studio with some HP5 developed in PMK+. Doing a bit of experimenting with lighting, which I have very little experience with as I shoot most with available light outdoors. Helpful comments welcomed. Click image for larger version.

My first attempt at LF! This was the best of the set.

The hi-light on the hair is annoying and I got some artifacts in the scanning as well. Check out the banding in the lower left hand corner which I don't see on the negative. I ended up mounting the negatives on a cardboard as I was getting neuton rings. Maybe I need to replace the scanner with something more modern (I used a Linotype hell Saphir Ultra 2).
The negative was either underexposed (I rated portra 160 at ISO 100 or the scanner was having issues), I had to open up in photoshop & spend a lot of time on the color balance which still looks not so great.
