I'm betting that no one I work with comes here, and even so I would just point out that the average 911 response time is about 11.5 minuets. So I'd say that 5 is doing great! Besides, what are they going to do? Send me to the desert and forget about my birthday (again) for it?
My first ever 8x10 negative Just finished restoring Gundlach yesterday night, still got some hardware to add (handle is busted e.g), but hey...
Arista EDU 8x10, Wollensak 12" 4.5

(while on subject, how the you guys scan 8x10 on V700? My betterscanning station won't accept negative of that size had to drop it on glass directly, which did cost me some details and sharpness)
Make sure that you switch to "Transparency 8x10" mode if scanning right off the glass. Then expect a ton of Newton rings. I ended up getting the the ANR glass from Focal Point. http://fpointinc.com/epson.htm, which still gave Newton rings if I just tried to sandwich the negative between it and the scanner glass. Now I just tape the negative to the ANR glass, and suspend it off the scanner bed via four cardboard tabs I cut from a film box.
Such a beautiful portrait
