    Creative Watermarking

Here's an interesting article about creatively watermarking your photographs. Would you like to see someone try to scrub these out of the photo?

Farbspiel: Creative Watermarking – How to Integrate Your Signature into Your Photos

If you want to apply a watermark / signature to your images, do not simply paste a huge piece of ugly text over it. This will deter viewers.

If you are willing to invest a bit more time, you can produce a signature that seamlessly blends into the image, tagging it as being yours without turning off viewers.

    Re: Creative Watermarking

That implementation of copyright is seriously whacked – but no more so than emblazoned copyright banners on the most mundane, uninspired images by untalented shooters.

Many posted images – here, there, and everywhere – are so commonly hackneyed, pedestrian, and passionless that it defies personal logic and decorum as to why anyone concerned with the quality of their work could survive outright criticism, much less personal introspection (one hopes), by such outright declamation of their image making prowess (or lack thereof). In terms of forums, blogs, and the web–like, many illustrative images, so easily generated these days, are simply accouterment to the written word – nothing more, nothing less – certainly not to connote priceless fine art, simply because they originated within the realm of even a more talented eye.
