I have a copy of Shinzo Maeda's 'Hills of Colour' book and was very impressed, the colour is a little more saturated than I am used to but works well. His Kamikochi book is all medium format though. After looking at colour city photos they all start to look the same unless they have strong geometry.

I have been enjoying Hans-Christian Schink recently, I think his 1h Project ( though black and white) is particularly both conceptually and physically beautiful

Also Candida Hofer is an old favourite of mine.

While it isn't exactly 8x10, it is 7x17: "Whispered Prayers - Portraits & Prose of Tibetans in Exile" by Stephen Harrison. I found this one "remaindered" on Amazon, after first seeing it at an exhibit on Tibet while visiting my daughter in Austin TX. A good book all around (both in terms of photographs and the text), along with the author's notes on three trips to India with a 7x17 Canham.

Also any of William Clift's books, although I'm not sure whether he uses 8x10 or "only" 4x5.

Been haveing a h a r d time trying to find any colour work by minor white
Heaps of that crappy black and white stuff.

A black and white photo is like a poor man saving up for christmass.
    Just kidding

    I love all.
