Do I need a recesed lens board to use a 90mm Super Angulon on my Wisner style Zone VI?
Do I need a recesed lens board to use a 90mm Super Angulon on my Wisner style Zone VI?
I may be wrong, but I believe your 4x5 is similar to my Tachihara 4x5. If correct, then I would try your lens without the recessed board. I use my Funijon 90mm f8 lens on my tachihara and it works fine without a recessed board.
Sorry to revive this thread, but I plan to mount a 1:6.8 90mm Angulon (not Super) in my Linhof Technika and I don't know if I will need a recesed board.
Does somebody has the clue?
Thanks.
if you want a bit of movements - yes.
go for a recessed board if you can get one but make sure it'll let you access the shutter controls
Bob Salomon - HP please buy in and tell us the part number of optimal lens board
I've got a technika and you certainly can use a 90 on a flat board but having a recessed board does help
my main issue is that bringing the front standard forward makes it easier to get to the knobs and move the standard around without the body or the struts on the drop bed getting in the way
I don't think bellows compression is a limiting factor because I use a 65 on a flat board
I see...
Thanks Sergei and Andrew for your answers.
