Talisker! How can you drink that? I suppose your love of Tiltalls, those hard, metal, heavy things that pinch your fingers might be a clue... that stuff is harsh!

For me it's all Lagavulin. Such a perfect balance. There is no other....

You go down to the spring and get some springwater. You mix a wee bit of that with the Talisker. Ambrosia!

Don't use ice. Don't use - Gods forbid; Heaven forfend - tapwater.

And I can't recall ever having my fingers pinched in my Tiltalls. (shrugging smiley)

I use 11-22 with 65 wide, 16-32 with 90 and 115 wides, 16-32 with 150 to 300 plasmats and 22-32 with my Apo Ronars. More or less the factory recommended apertures. That said, I have no problem in using 45 if I need more DOF or 11 when I want blurred backgrounds (Even 8 with 65 and 90 wides). Lately I'm enjoying blurred backgrounds when portraying people at work or in their environment. Love the 3D effect.

Wide open to f/8 for portraits. Lately I've been shooting f/64 for landscapes.

I shoot portraits on 8x10. I'll go for the smallest opening a reasonable shutter speed will allow.
