f/9 is darned dim for focusing

True that. I picked up a couple Rodagons instead. A 210 and a 240. Surprisingly, the 210 covers 810 very well.

If you have the Beseler 8x10 conversion a 300mm lens will not work.
It was designed for a 240.

I'm looking for a lens for my new De Vere 5108 for 8x10 enlarging. The 210 Rodagon seems to be a lot more plentiful than any kind of 240mm lens. Less expensive too. Would you recommend this as the one and only less for my intended use Mr Salomon? I too have limited ceiling height. Thanks. Terry

Yes, if you don't have the height for the 240.

The prograf website needs to be updated, still listing 210 Rodagon as a 5x7 lens? That is bound to cause a lot of confusion.

I asked because I saw one on eBay and didn't know about this lens... but the seller made an error in his listing, it is a 120 WA.
About the regular 210 and the 210G, what reproduction factor is this lens can be used on 8x10?

Oren, the conversation with Mr Salomon didn't make any sense if you delete parts of it.
I already have the lens listed on eBay when I read the post and mention it in case someone have a problem and wish to give a try to the 210mm for 8x10.
My lens is scratched and I list it at 40$ so it is more to be helpful to someone who wish to try at small price and not for taking a benefit of the forum to make money with selling on eBay.
If the lens was not already on eBay, I will have listed it in the For Sale section ... making crossed links between the topics!
But I'm a bit reluctant to list scratched lens in the For Sale section but for testing coverage, this is the perfect lens!
And if I remember well I didn't point a eBay link but only tell what is my username.
