Check out TPE, "the Photographer's Ephemeris".
This app works on iPhones, androids, iPads, and, I believe, there's also a desktop version.
The program is excellent for landscape and nature photographers and assists in predicting lighting conditions based on location. The author describes it as a "map-centric sun and moon calculator". It shows the direction of sunlight or moonlight at any time, day or night for anywhere on earth. It can also take elevation into account. Designed by a photographer from the UK.
There's a website with complete info. Just google the name or "TPE photo". It costs about $10, but well worth it
I know just enough to be dangerous !
