getting rid of collodial silver on a gelatin base using 1 teaspoon of water

hey guys I'm sure you've argued about this for years... but my father is a civil engineer and he runs Quabbin resivour and I'm an artist and we both JUST REALIZED that we are talking about the same thing! Wet Chemistry! The solution to pollution is dillution, so if you can just point me in the direction of actual formulas I wouldn't understand but he would! What do we have pollution/waterXtimeXagitatation? I make my negs swirl in water like a may tag, will that help me conserve water?
    Thanks
    Ed
