    Amateur to the Zone System

I know you guys might call it a sin, but I learned the zone system very well with 35 mm. I know it is a no no with large format guys. I have not read it, but I understand the book by Carson Graves on the zone system for 35 mm, is excellent, and I learned what I know from him personally. He made it extremely easy to understand. Once you understand the basics and you get a handle of expierencing the craft of seeing photo's, placing exposures, and truely understanding' then go to the trouble of lugging all the big stuff around. pdw

    Amateur to the Zone System

"If you press the Ctrl key first and then move the cursor, you will see instead three values which are the actual raw RGB densities.... "

Hi Leonard - I have tried this when I do a Preview, and it seems that the numbers are reversed. When I mouse over the dark shades, I see a high number, and for light tones, I see low numbers. Perhaps I am doing things backwards, or have misunderstood a fundamental point ?
