I have a question: Recently, I was given a lot of expired polaroid 554 B/W film. I also acquired a 550 back, so I could use the film. So far I've had good results, even considering the films expired in 2003 and never has been refrigerated. BUT - there's always a but - I can't seem to scan them properly. Are there any general guidelines for scanning polaroids, that I've missed? I have a HP Scanjet G4050 which I got used for a ridiculous price and it works very good with my regular negatives (both B/W and colour). I use the vuescan software with it.

I finally got some 8x10 polaroid to play with! 9 year expired 804, shot on my deardorff V8 and with my new-to-me very worn Kodak Ektar 14" Commercial lens I picked up for $20. It was a good weekend for me.

Great idea. Are you just taping the single Instax frame into the film holder? And to process do you just break the reagent pods by hand with a roller or do you insert it back into the Instax camera for processing?
