Well since some of my stuff is borderline NSFW, I'll stick to thumbs and this forum's native interpretation... Another of Nicole, the one I prefer of her, along with the earlier image repeated to see the difference the forum imaging engine makes:

    Nana -

    Lovely image - as always!

One question: was this done with flash or warm lights?

    Thanks!

    Scott

Frank, your non-traditional lighting is excellent as usual. Those hard side shadows with good quality skintones are well done.

    A followup to :

    Thanks Eddie!

This one's a failure in every way, but it shows my 2 y o far more realistically. Less "thoughtful" and more lively which is a more accurate depiction of how things really are. She's a blur in real life. Sigmar 19" at f4 on 8x10 tmy2.

And just for a quick comparison/reminder that soft lenses vary wildly.

The other daughter, shot with a kodak 305 portrait at between 4.8 and 5.6. Same film. Scan's got newton rings and is a little thin; it's mostly showing how very different these two portrait lenses do their thing.

    Thanks...

This was done with a Multiblitz Magnolite 32 and a 1mx1m softbox.
