    Bullhead City, AZ

I've got some architecture to photograph there. I was wondering if there are any photogenic areas worth scoping out near there since I'll be in the 'hood.
I'm definately not interested in senior citizen 's wet t-shirt contests at the casinos in Laughlin!

I drove through there last year, and saw some pretty cool mountains and formations a few miles away off Hwy 68 going north and east from Laughlin. I went off road somewhere near the summit of the pass in my Subaru Forrester, but I think any car can drive on the dirt roads there, they were'nt too rutted.

The Casinos at sunset from across the river (on the Arizona side) are nice shots. This time of year, there might be some wildflowers, especially some magenta ones that are on the cacti - you might need to look closely. Although, with the lack of rain, the wildflowers are a big ??? There are a few old trees, etc. in Christmas Tree Pass in Nevada, about 5 - 10 miles west of Laughlin on SR 163 - it's a dirt road that makes a 90 degree turn to the west about 8 miles in, then heads over to US95...

You might want to check out Oatman and on over to Kingman for a nice drive. I haven't done that run since we used to
go to the Harley rally in Laughlin ( been a few years now ).

I'll second the idea of Oatman. It's a tourist attraction with the big draw the wild burros that roam the main street. But the outlying areas have potential if you like old, run-down ghost town like settings. Old gas pump, cars, etc.

As mentioned the wildflowers should be around too. Google "The London Bridge Arizona" and you might find that interesting. Valley of Fire SP in NV I think is but a couple of hours from their if you have the time or inclination for a drive. Otherwise, get on 163 as Mike suggested and find some side roads. The mountains, rocks and general desert landscape in late afternoon light is always nice.

Since the (what was it?) Bandidos and Mongols went at it in one of the casinos? No Mongols and Hells Angels right? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Frb12K7MKXc. I have some extended family members that are Mongols so I guess that is "my team".
