Wow, your Volute & BL Zeiss Tessar combination is very close in time and serial numbers to my own!! The only major difference is size, since yours it's clearly marked 5x7, and mine is equally marked 4x5. Why there's a double aperture scale?

I assume it is convertible to one lens cell.

The shutter works perfectly, but I have never used it.
