    Increasing the 8x10 stash

My current 8x10 film operandi for Ilford emulsions is to always have two unopened boxes each of FP-4+ and HP-5+ in the freezer. When I have to tap into a box, I order a replacement---I've adopted this system to avoid emulsion poverty should there be a supply glitch (remember the time a few years ago when Ilford was being reorganized at the same time Kodak was building that new dust-free coating line and sheet film got scarce?)To up the ante, I am thinking about arbitrarily choosing a month to annually increase my stash by an additional box.
Maybe writing "Ilford August" or "Silver-halide September" on the calender as a reminder.
Good idea? Or not so good?

    How about "emulsion March"?

Sounds like a good idea. I still have frozen Tri-X Ortho to work with. I'll be starting with Ilford this spring, if all goes well.

It's a good idea, but two boxes isn't much if it all goes south.

Theres all that x-ray film, Arista .edu, plus rolls of 9-1/2" aerial film, ortho, and Kodak also stockpiled
