    foxing

    what is foxing? I just saw a lens described as having it.....waviness is seen?>>

    is this some kind of coating issue or something?

    Foxing on paper, usually old books, is discolouration, likely fungus.
    On lenses?
    sounds like BS: possibly fungus too
