Lachlan, when I was trying out inexpensive lenses I got a 150/9 Konica Hexanon GR II. It was coated. I hung it in front of a #1 shutter and shot it. Very sharp, flary. Needs a lens hood, easily improvised. Since I shoot 2x3, not 4x5, I can't say anything useful about coverage. Others have reported lots. FWIW, for my purposes a tiny 150/9 Klimsch Apo Ronar seems better than the equivalent G-Claron. People with other objectives (pun intended) may decide otherwise.
Re the video, I don't remember it. But a lens mounted on a camera is a lens mounted on a camera ... i'm not sure what can be learned from seeing a lens being used.
I still have mine but haven't used it in years - Mine very easily covers 5X7 and seems to almost cover 8X10 - just barely vignettes the corners. Would cover 4X10. It is a sharp lens.
This will be an interesting lens to test.
I doubt I’d use it much at infinity; more a close quarter UWA. As such, hyperfocus will hopefully expand the IC for full coverage.
With its tiny size, might also work well on the Sinar shutter without weight stress.
Obviously, updates to follow!
