My wife wouldn't pose for this test since she said the last photos of her were unflattering, and considering they were two stops underexposed with film that enhanced the imperfections in her skin, she's right. So I grabbed whatever I could find that would fill the frame and give me different textures and shapes. This is the result. I gave it two stops more exposure than my previous tests and it could STILL use more. So much for the "daylight" in compact fluorescent bulbs! Although, I think reciprocity failure is complicating my testing.

8x10 Kodak 2D, 15" B&L projection Petzval, Kodak Low Contrast Aerial Duplicating Film (SO-277), 8 second exposure.

Thanks. Got mine on Eb@y. Luckily they can be found for much less than their more glamorous Dallmeyer and Voigtlander cousins, but being projection lenses you can only shoot with them wide open.

Another lighting and development test. Same basic set-up as the photo above.

I'm loving your last posts Jonathan, from the two above back to the sheet/drape and the string, all great! It's a wonder what you find in the things around you. To be honest, I'm a little jealous, as I often seem to be blind as to what's right in front of me. I did spend some time studying my juice glasses the other day (no doubt inspired by your recent pictures) so maybe there's hope for me yet. Anyway, keep it up-you're on a roll!

What to do during a huricane? Take a photo of one of your guitars.... Here is my axe... Shot using a Sinar P 4x5 with a Rodenstock 150mm Sironar on Ilford Delta 100 film. Developed in XTOL 1:2.
