Ari- I used a bit of an overlay of blur in photoshop, The scan on a computer screen looked more harsh then I intended. I am happy to hear you like it.

I used to get a similar effect in the darkroom by selectively applying a Softar filter.
Very nicely done, and your subject played along perfectly.

At the time of this posting, your link isn't working. I hope it's Flickr's error and they fix it because I would love to see a 105mm Solinar covering 4x5. I've only seen them on 6x9 folders.

My first real portrait in LF. This is a 3x4 Polaroid (Fuji FP-3000B) that I took with my brand-new Polaroid 900 4x5 conversion with a 135mm Xenotar lens. This is William, a friend of mine graduating with an art degree next semester, and a sculpture he just finished.

He doesn't want his friends to see before the graduating art show so in the very, very slim chance you know him...don't look!
