I've been wanting an 8x10 enlarger since about '05, but never wanted to invest in a "battleship". Then about two months ago I picked up a 5x7 camera to fill the gap between 8x10 and 4x5 formats. So, now I needed a 5x7 enlarger even more. I ran across a R.B. Enlarging Camera by Folmer & Schwing on ebay, which should arrive in a several days. It was designed as a day-light enlarging camera, but will accept an incandescent and other light sources. If this works out as hoped, I may want to start a thread to discuss enlarging cameras in general.

Where are you located? I heard about an 8x10 cold light conversion of a Durst 138 in the Cleveland, OH area. Mine is only 7'1" tall, but I gather this was converted with different cold light so it may be a different height. The Durst 138 can easily be disassembled and carried in a car. I carried one and a half from Detroit to Cleveland in a medium size SUV. A friend carried one in a sedan from NH to OH.

I have one available in Jersey City, NJ. Asking $2100 (firm) which is the price I paid to totally refurbish the Omega D color head. The frame is an older Devere. I never used it though I think I have all the parts and negative carrier, plus the lens, plus what may be an extra bellows. Im using a Durst 1840 instead
