This is very interesting. I think the effect is very similar to that of the printing press, as I've said before. And similarly, Nate's assumption that it's all trivial is probably not very accurate, or maybe it is accurate and photography itself has become trivial the way publishing has. It's an interesting topic for discussion. Thanks for the link.
I guess they didn't have a big enough room to house 24 hours worth of facebook photos (allegedly 250 million per day!!!).
