I used the focal plane shutter on the Speed Graphic at 1/30, captured on Arista EDU Ultra 100 4x5 film and processed in Kodak HC-110 dilution H for 9.5 minutes. The negative was a little thin but usable.

Natural light with a gold reflector placed between the camera and model.
Excellent improvised Petzval rig, and shot! I've also been shooting a small one on my Speed Graphic, I'm now waiting on some 4x5 color film to try that. You got her focus just right, not easy with such a fast lens on a handheld camera, or even on a tripod.

Thanks! On focus, I got close enough Not perfect, but with a little smart sharpening, it's pretty good. I did use a tripod and that helped a lot. I've been shooting this lens on a Bronica EC for a couple rolls and it looks pretty good on a 6x6 too. Nailing focus at f/2 on 4x5 is HARD!

Kerik; those are nice! Which sigmar did you use for 14x17?

I have the 19" (used in this thread) which seems like overkill for 8x10, but I don't have a bigger camera to try it on.

Here are 2 portraitsI shot this evening after making some new collodion for a wetplate portrait gig I am running at Icebox gallery in MN this coming Thursday.. Both shots were made with a Kodak 2D 8x10 and Dallmeyer 3B. 1st plate was 6x8, the 2nd was whole plate. Exposure was 4.5 seconds @ F3. Shot in the basement with Interfit SC-655 cool-light kit.

Is that Elektrozavodskaya!? I reckon I took some street photos (not LF) there recently but not as creative as this one. The roof lighting pattern works really well with the costume.

(I had two days in Moscow, spent about half of my time in the metro!)
