Try taking a look at Waymarking.com, sometimes you will find interesting places/things via this website.

There is a ton of stuff in that area.

Poplar Forest – Thomas Jefferson’s home away from Monticello.

To be sure, Poplar Forest is the only other home he built for himself.

It’s just a few miles from downtown Lynchburg in beautiful countryside.
