There is something a little menacing about this. Maybe it's just me, but it brought to mind a film called The Bad Seed. It's partly the expression, but more so the lighting. I wonder whether the digital image and/or my computer screen accurately capture the lighting and, if so, whether this is what you intended. Or perhaps my reaction to the photograph is unique to me.

r.e. - interesting - I suppose b/c I know her I never felt it was a menacing image - but can see that perhaps it could be interpreted as such. It was window lighting but printed/processed dark.
