"WOW! Now thats a big camera. By the way, how many megapixels is that thing?"
I'm 53 and just starting in LF. Purchased a wista 45DX, a tripod and started to see all of the other things needed. I'm too young to be set in my old ways. Ron G.
Just started the back half of being in my 60's, never really knew anything else but LF. When a freshmen in high school, I wanted to learn photography, so I signed on to the yearbook staff - no formal photo classes were offered. After an initial tour of the darkroom, I was introduced to a Busch Pressman 4x5, 2 Graphmatic film holders, a can of DK-50 and a package of Kodak fixer and a 100 sheet box of Royal-X Pan, then sent out to shoot the basketball games using some great big flashbulbs. I'm still shooting with the same enthusiastic simplicity that I applied back then. Figure I'll keep at it till I can't see anymore, but that's some other decade, not this one. Thank God I've always been able to find large corporations willing to pay me to do my hobby. Never done a "days work" in my life.
I am 59 and i like long walks on the beach watching the sunset.... Oh wait ... wrong web page...
been dippin the fixer since i was 13. My jr high science teacher Joe Fillingham got me hooked and addicted to the smell of a darkroom

Just turned 36 and 2 months old in LF Years.
I love this thread. It's the only one to which I can add a consistant new post every year.
I'm 63 since a few days.

This thread should have been a poll or something
that shows a statistic of age of LF users on this board.
59...shooting spasmodically since 11 yrs old...frantically working on the bucket list of photo projects both technical and imaging....the advance of time shows no mercy...
29 for a couple of more months - LF for two years now and forever to come!
