Film from the Fridge-When to Load

Hi All,

I have a friend coming to my studio this afternoon for a portrait session. I forgot to take the film out of the fridge until just now 11:30 AM. It is Fuji Across 100 ASA. How long do I have to wait to load the film in the holders? How long do I have to wait to shoot? My Fridge is 38 degrees. My studio is 80 degrees. I can't get the studio temperature any lower. My friend has to leave at 5 PM.

I appreciate the help.

I've pulled 4x5 boxes from the freezer and left them on the table to warm up. After about 15 minutes they are warm enough to not attract more moisture from the air.

Depending on temperature and humidity, 15 minutes to an hour usually.

I've pulled film from the freezer and stuffed it immediately into holders and the pictures came out fine.

I wouldn't recommend it but when you have a photo opportunity that might evaporate, all you have to lose is a couple sheets of film.
