Remove any Kodak Trademarks and the Kodak name and change or remove the notch code.
Or ask Kodak in writing for permission to use the image of their film so they get the PR from your using it.

I'm pretty sure that the notch code for Kodak IR sheet film is/was the single "U" (universal) notch.
Attached are a couple of references.

Just curious from a graphic design/marketing perspective, is it a good idea to associate your business with an obsolete film that is no longer made?

Wouldn't it be likely that a potential client might "fall in love" with your IF image and then be sour when you explain that you can not make any new large-format IF images?

    It sounds like a cool idea—but . . . .

Most poteeven ntial clients never did "know" notch codes or even that film had them. This couldn't be more true today when many folks don't know that film is still used.

A general question . . .how are notch codes assigned to a specific film. Does the manufacturer copyright the pattern or is it assigned by a standards agensy (or whateveer—ANSI, ISO?)

I wouldn't think it would matter... 99.99% of those seeing it won't have a clue to it's meaning anyway other than it has something to do with "big negatives". It is very easy to go over a potential client's head with cryptic meaning and those who do understand probably won't need your service anyway.
