Driving down to Portland, Oregon with the family on the 16 and 17th. Love architecture, specifically old buildings... Any suggestions? Thank you!

They've got some really cool bridges.
"I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority"---EB White
Very nice Japanese Garden
You might contact the Portland Photographic Society, they'd probably have a better idea of old buildings and other things like that in Portland than people here (though several of the participants here are also members of that Society).

Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you do criticize them you'll be
a mile away and you'll have their shoes.
I always thought it would be fun to photograph the tour as described by Chuck Palahniuk in his guidebook Fugitives and Refugees: A Walk in Portland, Oregon
Thanks everyone! Seeing lots of potential here.

If you like old bldgs and have an extra day or two next time, Astoria is a neat spot
(but very wet).
For a fee, you can get a photograper membership at the Japanese garden that gives you extended hour access early and late to avoid the general public walking in front of your carefuly composed photo op and maybe some other bennies. I've been thinking about getting the photo membership for doing some landscape photography there this fall.
+10 to Astoria, what a great, versatile location... Many good photos from there.
Yes, Astoria is old and funky, like Frank
says
