    Georgl,

    The offer from Juergen for OXYgen 2.6.0 will work for you.

    To Juergen: It appears that your version of OXYgen is for the Eversmart line of scanners. Does it say EVERSMART on the DVD case?

    To Georgl: You will have to "clean" your HD of all elements of your software for OXygen and do a clean installation. You will have to search the archives here to delete some associated files that was created in your original installs. I think its the Eversmart Prefs in the Library. Not really sure, but if you review the archives for this OR someone who knows chimes in, you will effectively be starting form scratch once you get the new software.

    The sequence for the Ratoc as describes by Ben is correct. I had to use the power adapter, so the Ratoc was not even seen by my scanner. I then followed that up with the sequence described by Ben.

    Good Luck and keep us all posted.

    I am located in Germany.
    Interested?

    @Evanjoe610
    Thank you. Was it you I contacted regarding the calibration slide? I lost track.

    @Juergen
    Thanks for the offer, I will get back from work on October 1st - then I could try to install the software.

    Georgl,

    No, I don't recall any e-mail messages form you regarding a calibration slide. I have but just one calibration slide and it came with my Pro II when I bought it.

    If you are in need to purchase one, check out Genesis Equipment Marketing.

    Good Luck and let us know when you do get the scanner software...

    Re: Scitex Eversmart Pro II Software + Computer

    I prolongated my work a bit and I`m ready to try the scanner next week again.

    So I`m still in need of a calibration slide and OXYgen 2.6.0 in Germany!

    So if anybody could help me, it would be greatly appreciated!

    Genesis Equipment was not willing to offer support.

    Did you contact Ryan Newton at http://foreversmarts.com/

    You will most likely have to buy a calibration slide. It is unlikely that anyone would lend you one because if it is lost they would have no way of calibrating their own scanner.

    georgl,

    if you pack your scanner into your car and risk a trip to me home, we can calibrate the Eversmart together. I have a calibration slide for the Supreme and Oxygen 2.6.0.

    Does anybody know if the cal.slide from the Pro and the Supreme are identical?

    georgl,

    I tried to send you a mail. But the mail was rejected. Reason: the user has too much messages on the server.

    Please give me a note when your account is ready again.

    Shure, I can send you Qxygen 2.6.0. Do you use Dropbox?

    Maybe I have a solution for the calibrationslide.

    Re: Scitex Eversmart Pro II Software + Computer

    It's finally working! The 1€-Scanner (+transport, Radoc...) is working!

    Thank you all, especially Jürgen for OXYgen 2.6 - it's crucial! 2.3.5 does not work with a G5 and FW! No matter what the official pages claim!

    But I have a few questions:

    - It only goes up to 2540ppi - the Pro II should be 3175ppi, right? Matter of calibration, it seems I have some old calibration data that makes it work, more or less...

    - Any advice for cleaning the glass? Acetone is not advised, but even the cleaning alcohol for sensors leaves streaks. I have the cleaning tools from SDS for the drum scanner (wood-free clothes, antistatic, Isopropylalcohol...) but nothing works well!?

    - Scanning Ektar makes me crazy, any workflows? I wanted to try ColorNeg but therefore I need Gamma 1.0 - how do I do that?

    The resolution dialog box will allow you to type in 3175 dpi, or any other number you want. If you type in more than 3175 dpi there will be interpolation in one direction because the scanner does 8200 dpi X 3175 dpi. That said, if you need the higher resolution it is better to do it when scanning with the Eversmart than later in PS.

    You can clean the base glass with window cleaners that do not contain ammonia. For sure do not use acetone on the glass!!
