    Perceptol developer & T max 100/400

I am Currently reading a book called ELEMENTS of the fine Monocrome Print by Barry Thorton eh also has a website where he sells his own developer formular, but in his book he speaks highly of perceptol on Tmax 100. " Perceptol diluted 1:3 and used at 24c n time is usually around 13 minutes. With this combination grain is Markedly finer than other developers including Tmax. Sharpness is as high as rodinol which isn't noted for its grain. Tonal range is subtle and in patricularthe highlights resists the films tendency to blockwith any overexposure or overdevelopmentSpeed is not as good as tmaxand perceptol won't push" he uses the old tap and rotate hand method so the time must be adjusted for constant agitation. The directions inside the box says to reduce times by 15% for rotary tanks.
