    Thanks Serge and Zaitz. It was for Brides Magazine so the blown-out haloes were ok. Anyone who has done silverware knows that the text-book solutions are crap. Note the ring-light fill smack in the middle. A standard problem with a tabletop page is how to fill the empty space above and below all the products. My remedy is to stack product stuff upwards and hang decorative stuff downwards.
    Plenty of stacking examples here.

    A former student/current friend dropped by a few days ago to learn about wet plates. She knows what she's doing with a large format camera, so I did a couple of plates and got out of her way...

    This was shot on my Son’s porch with a red and green pepper, plus the garlic from the kitchen. The camera was old 4x5 Speed Graflex, with rear curtain shutter. The lens, a Wollensak 7 1/2” Velostigmat f4.5. Film used was Delta 100. Cropped, as you see.
