I like this very much. How do you make your meniscus lens? Can you share with me? I have tried the loupe lens but don't know how to make meniscus.

All is very simple!
Old shutter Compur,meniscus lens +7D and aperture from a black paper.
Focal lenght 140 mm.
All is visible on a photo.

I think it became a monthly thread (like the portrait threads) when the open-ended "Post Your Still Lifes, Take 2" thread hit 778 replies. If you think the thread should last longer, perhaps a "Still Lifes, 2011" for a year at a time?
