Quick Relaease for a Deardorff V8

I'd like to use a quick release with an 8x10 Deardorff on a Majestic tripod.

The Manfrotto quick release that works well for me with a 4x5 seems a bit small and lightweight for a camera the size of a Deardorff V8.

I ask what quick release hardware has owrked (is working) well for others shooting 8x10?

    TIA

I've been using the Manfrotto 357 setup on my V8 for quite some time without any problems. The plate is 2.25" x 5.5"' and the whole rig is pretty stout.

Alot of the Deardorff cameras I restore come to me with the Manfrotto 357 foot attached. It must be good.

For a tripod head, I use the Linhof Kardan Panarama large studio tilting head with its removable top plate. The top plate is slightly larger than the standard mounting plate on the V8.

It does work fairly quicly with little drama or risk to the camera. Certainly robust enough, and used it was not badly priced.

    Might be something to consider,
