Well I finally purchase a dry mount press. I need only one more item in order t o claim total independance from the local university. Do any of you have sugges tions on a brand name/model for a rotary paper cutter. 16 X 20's are my largest prints. Thanks

Rotatrim is the best. If you can afford it, you might want to pick the next largest model from whatever you think your largest prints will be....they may be expensive, but they're worth it.

I'm interested in this question too, so I'll add a couple of my own. What about the rotatrim "monorail" and "eurocut" models? They are substantially less expensive than the rotatrim "Professional" models. I understand that the Pro model has the cutter mounted on a pair of rails, and presumably the monorail model is just what it sounds like; does the single rail model work well? And what is different about the eurocut model, and how well does that one work?

I use the Rotatrim Professional 24". It has been reliable, precise and lasts a lifetime. Buy the best and you will have it for a long time.

Buy the dual rail rototrim and don't give it a second thought. I would sugegest think about the largest print that you can make, go to the next size up {example if you can print a 16X20 think 20X24} and then purchase the next size cutter 30X40. Why? Things change, labs can print larger prints, and why buy something twice?

Its unusual to get such a consistant set of answers. I guess I'll get a Rototrim Pro. Thanks to you all.

The rotatrim professional or double has the capability to cut, precisely, thicker paper dan the other models so buy that one if you can afford it, tret it well and will serve you forever. Second best but for thinner paper is amazingly Meopta very cheap if you have someone who goes to Prague to buy it for you will const you almost nothing(so to speak...!)
