Sometimes the edit window closes before one discovers the error. I hate spell checkers.
Forever exposed to be a grammatical dumbass.

I honestly think that a camera manufacturer should look at the buzz the fuji x100 created. Kodak (or anybody who makes sensors really, or can get sensors for a good price) could make something like an M mount live-view camera with a full frame or even a cropped sensor. It would probably sell like hot cakes. And they only have to dig in their R&D barrel for a sensor that isn't being used by the leica models which supposedly they have agreements to not put in any other camera.
In the meatime, I'm burning through Ektar and Portra 160 & 400. B&W though, I'm an Ilford guy.
I wish Kodak had the extensive documentation for their products Ilford does. Ilford even goes so far as to provide recommended development times for other manufacturers chemicals and films. Very nice for people like myself who are still pretty green. It's a good business choice, too. I always either use an ilford film or an ilford developer.
i had a conversation with someone a while ago
regarding spinning off the film division of kodak &C
and this person said that whoever would be the lucky buyer
would probably be responsible for the 100+ years of pollution / superfund-site
that goes along with it. not sure if it is true or not but maybe that is the
reason that no one is " taking over ".
Kodak is treading water with 1 arm ..

As one of the few American imaging companies that is doubtlessly considered strategically important... Kodak would be deemed TBTF and bailed out under most favorable terms if bankruptcy were looming.Wipes out shareholders though...
Sean, you're kidding, right?I wish Kodak had the extensive documentation for their products Ilford does.
Kodak's documentation is by far the best I have ever seen. The documentation for Ilford products seems more summary to me.
Don't really understand all the anti Kodak sentiment.
Is it just me or are Ektar and Portra the best colour films out there at the moment?
B+W Tri-X is still my number 1 choice, only going over to FP4 in the mid summer.
Neither do I. Almost everything they ever made was of the very highest quality. Some of their current films are downright extraordinary and have no real rival.Don't really understand all the anti Kodak sentiment.
But, come to think of it, I'm not sure there's an anti-Kodak sentiment. I think people don't have anything against Kodak per se, but rather against its current management, which seems to be killing the company slowly but surely, like cancer.
