    Backpacks fitting airline overhead storage/underseat?

Gentlemen, My large Lowepro backpack I assume to large to store in overhead compartments on most airlines. Any ideas as to other Lowepro backpacks that will allow for either a Pentax 67 with 3 lenses, film(normally hand held for inspections) minor necessities, or possibly Toyo 45AX with 2 lenses, assorted mi nor gear, ReadyLoad holder/film, lupe, and still fit overhead? How are the airlines regarding carry on of tripods(Bogen 3021)? Also, in regard to traveling into China, any absolute no-no's as to equipment al lowed in? Thanks, Ga

Gary: The PhotoTrekker AW will fit airline dimensions if you don't stuff the front pockets and fold up the straps nice and neat.

Saunders (Domke) Outpacks fit easily though the airlines X-ray templates for luggage size. I can put an Arca-Swiss 4x5, 3 lenses, two boxes of quickload and a QL holder in that bag along with filters, loupe and cable release, so it might fit the bill.

I use a Lowepro Nature Trekker AW that fits my Toyo AX, 3 view lenses, a 35 with two zooms, and misc. filters, quickload holder, and one box of quickload film. This fits nicely under the seat or in the overhead.

I have the old version of the Lowe Photo Trekker and although slightly larger than the current model it fits into an overhead locker once the straps have been stowed away. Regards Paul
