    In both shots your model doesn't look entirely comfortable, which is something you will need to work on together.

    Wow ken that tessar produced a nice image. Of course kudos must go to the hads of the photographer. But I like how the tessar made a nice in-out of focus image without going swirly or fuzzing the ears and nose.

    Yes - I really like Tessars for portraits.

    Here, the lens was set to around f/16: enough to keep the subject in focus, but no more.

    Symmar 5.6/135 converted to 12/235 @ f/16.
    Very strong back lightning, sun hit directly the shutter and the back element but still flare wasn't that bad (but there was flare...)

    Much better than I expected.

    I used a tripod. Dark & gloomy day. I was only able to get away with 1/15th at nearly wide open (f/5.6 lens).
