I have a V8 4140. A younger sibling to 4085. I emailed Ken and look forward to his reply.

Theres a page on my site for Deardorff owners. I have not made it public or visable.
Do you want everyone to know what you have?. I thought it was a great idea but have thought more and I think I'll just keep doing what I'm doing. You ask, I'll tell you here.
Or from an e mail. Give me some thoughts.....I've posted the history on my site, Hints on care and most models. Perhaps here is the place for our stories on using them?
What do you think?

So could you let me know when mine was made, the number is 4382, it has front swing and is a thing of joy, particularly after taking your advice about maintenance
Thanks
Alun
Ken, thank you. In January '67, I had just arrived in Chicago after the huge snow storm hit the city. So I was in the city when it was "born."

I'm surprised how young mine is. Ken tells me that #5766 left the factory on 3/3/83, and that he may have assembled part of it at that time.
