    Re: Worst Photographic Buzzword

I confess I haven't read the previous 21 pages so this may have already been listed but for me the worst word is "photo-bug" and "shutter-bug". Where the hell did that come from?

I've hated that since I got into this stuff around 1972.

I didn't like it til I heard a couple of digital photographers who deleted many of their images almost immediately referring to "catch-and-release".

    Speaking of silly buzzwords...

I've heard of fashion photographers, sports photographers, landscape photographers, street photographers, even celebrity photographers... and it's pretty clear what they all do. But I've never heard of "digital photographers".

And I have no idea what do they photograph. Care to explain?

Analog. "Anal" and "log" just don't sound right together.

So look at something else! You're not a passive observer!

That's where the "ue" comes in - tack it to the end, and voila! You now have a French-sounding anal log. Right along the lines of "giclee".

I's sure the OP agrees with this so he used it in the title of the thread for emphasis...
