HP Z3100 24" Printer Belt Replacement

z3100 is an older long ago discontinued model.
After 3 years with no maintenance cycles the ink inside supply tubes should be bone-dry.

So far I read all the instructions that came with the printer. It says it reads the expiry date on the cartridges.
I'm afraid it won't even start up with 12 expired cartridges. Most of them expired on March, 2013.
