    Re: Pyro for Acros

    Thanks Sandy,

I picked up a bunch of Acros and some PyroCat over the winter with plans to dig in to it once spring arrives. The tips are much appreciated.

Acros + Pyrocat-HD is a wonderful combination. Stunning sharpness and grain is virtually non existent in sizes up to 35X45" from medium format negatives, so the sky is the limit in terms of print size for 4X5" and larger sheet film.

And ditto what Drew said about reciprocity failure with Acros. Basically, you don't have to worry about it unless you are exposing negatives by moonlight!!

Maybe post some pix? I'm intrigued with that format.

BTW if you want to shoot after dark pm me now it's getting warmer.
I've got nite stuff on the ntropy.us site and the link to flickr has a nite set too.
    Just for some ideas.

Rollo Pyro in a Jobo 3010 for about 10.5 minutes at 68 degrees works quite well for me.

Jay, are you rating Acros at box speed or slower?
I got my goodies from Artcraft. I hope to be brewing a batch of 510-pyro soon.

    Chris,

Yes, I shoot Acros at box speed, but tastes differ. I think you'll like this combo. Have fun!
