Which step could be omitted? If exposing, the gain is not big...

Would this be a research project or is there a known technique
I've read somewhere that the inversion can be made chemically, but I don't know more, but it seems interesting for portrait.

Appoline - a student of mine..

I got my self a nice old Gandolfi 5x4 Tailboard camera and fitted an ancient (ca 1854) (far too) big Ross Petzval lens on it (330mm)...

    Paper negative.

... and then Marie - same story..

Lots of green and yellow in this one...
At ISO 3 (on a matt black background) I got this...
    Calumet C-1
    8x10 Paper Negative
    12" Caltar
    paRodinal 1+50
    Sunflowers and Green Chrysanthemum
    (Yellow sunflowers were completely black)

I'd say a pretty unsuccessful result. Do you have a normal shot for comparison?

    Re: Paper negatives

I was going to recommend the paper film, film washi, and then I saw someone already posted about this on the forum.
In case you didnīt read about it.
    http://www.largeformatphotography.in...ighlight=washi
It is orthochromatic film coating on thin washi paper. Gives nice fiber in the printed enlargements.
I met the frenchman who makes it this autumn, at Paris photo. He makes 4x5 and 120 sizes.

if you want papernegatives in a smaller size that really gives a papery-feeling in the prints.
