8x10 paper neg scanned transparent
Great!
thank you Folker - I am looking for something after Banse und Grohmann NP 15.
I will try a gravure from this neg, but I fear that shadows are not enough separated.
best regards
h.
All these were shot with my Kodak Master View 8x10 with one great big softbox and a 1000 w/s strobe.
I used Ilford MG IV RC glossy developed in some nice dingy MG developer. I scanned them and touched up contrast in PS and LR
Still life
Two of my Dad, Robert S Cooper Sr. He thinks he looks grumpy. BTW, this is the first time I have shot another human being with this, or any, 8x10 camera and also the first time shooting another human being on paper neg.

This thread has given me enough confidence to finally have a try at LF.
Before, I was at a loss over all the things that could go wrong, and the Vageeswari 5x7 I bought wasn't that usable either so I decided to forget the whole idea.
Recently I have decided that I really need to try LF to forward my (future) portrait photography and shooting on paper doesn't sound that frightening.
Meantime, I lost my income and now am pretty broke and on unemployment benefits, until next summer.
Question: did anyone try shooting with an enlarger for a camera, or shoot paper negatives with a self-made camera? I have a bellows lying around and might be able to build something during the winter...
Thanks for any pointers, welcome in a PM if it would lead the thread subject astray...
