Cool, glad to know they work a phone.

I might mention for everyone that if the intended destination for one's pdf's is a mobile device of some sort, the files can me made much smaller without any apparent loss of quality. It is just a matter of outputing the images at a resolution which is appropriate for the device.

i have 25 years experience of bookmaking, send me your e-mail if you like and i'll send you a pdf portfolio of books which will give you a good idea of what can be done. probably best to start off looking at stuff before you decide what you need/want to do, then i can give you some free advice based on my experience, if thats any use to you.

There was a large-format rock and tree guy on here a couple weeks ago that had a nicer PDF of his work that presented well.

I did PDF that is downloadable from my website, it works well on everything and links are clickable.

Also my Dripbook portfolio site automagically formats the same content into a mobile-tablet edition that works well (and it automatic which is all the better).

Of course what downloads quickly (6mb for 100 images) may not look as good spread across a 30" monitor when the rez isn't there.... even though PDFs and Flash incorporate some sharpening and tricks to look good upsized, there are trade-offs as always.

Beyond that, if you want more interactivity then aren't you talking about doing an APP?

The more I think about it the more I am convinced that, at least for the project I have in mind, an app is the way to go. The epub thing is interesting but still too primitive for my needs.

I made up a couple of quick and dirty PDF's of my work wich I have linked on my website, I have loaded them on my iPod, I'm sure they would work on a iPhone or a iPad, I'm not so sure about the Kindle.
